Hey there. You are all probably thinking, wow, she's back already. But I thought I better let everyone know what Jayci is up to now.

When we were down in California Jace came up with the idea to sell silicone bracelets to raise money for her next trip to Project Walk. Well, they have arrived!! Of course they are orange and of course they say 'Believe' plus they also have 'Jayci's Journey' on them. For five dollars people can show their support for Jayci on their wrist. Pretty cool! She has already sold 13!!! Hayley was the first one over last night and she picked up 5. Then Gramps and Gram came over with cousins Dick and Donna and there went another 4. A few friends stopped by as well and they bought some too. Jayci is going to talk to her principal, Mr. Braun, about setting up a table at the school one lunch hour to sell them and Cassi has already arranged for them to have a table at the mall. Not sure what dates these will take place yet though. Also, I think I know of a place downtown, a very good accounting office, where they will be more than happy to sell them for Jaybird!!!!(giggle, giggle). If anyone has any other ideas, please let us know.

Tye left this morning for Edmonton with the youth group for a youth conference. Sure glad he decided to go as I know he will enjoy himself. The girls are still in bed. Jayci had a restless night. She has always had trouble sleeping at night, even prior to the accident, but she had been better until recently. I decided to cancel therapy this morning and let her sleep as she seems to have no problem sleeping from 6am to noon!?!?!? It's raining yet again, so I am blessed with Shawn's presence at home today!! He is working on some estimates right now. Not sure what we have up for the weekend. Would like to be out in the yard but it doesn't sound like the weather is going to allow that. Guess I will be in 'our' shop planting my pots, or I could tackle a closet or two. But planting is much more fun, ya, think I will go with the planting. Haha.

Hope you all enjoy your weekend, stay warm and dry. God Bless!

Love The Wittmiers

  9. Hi Jayci
On August 1st, I had a very close friend break his c4 and c5 vertebrae in a freak swimming accident. There is damage to his spinal cord, and as of now he is left as a quadrapalegic. I was just wondering if you ever participated in a stem cell clinical trial. We would really like to get him into project walk, but as of right now there is nothing to rehabilitate as he has no movement from the shoulders down. I realize stem cell transplants are a very controversial topic.. but we have to try everything we can! He was a cowboy, very active, and really the best friend anyone in our small town could ask for.

I hope you get back to me, and i hope things are getting better for you everyday!

    Best Regards..
