We made it back to Saskatoon yesterday around noon. Wow, it was hard to leave Cass, Ty and Gizzy again. We were welcomed back with open arms though, everyone wanting to know how our time at home was. The staff here really does make it easier to be here and of course seeing the other patients that we have gotten to know was nice as well.

One of the first things we did when we got back was weighed Jayci. The way she ate over the break and with not as much therapy, we were certain she would have gained. Good thing we didn't bet our house or we would be moving in with Ma and Pa. SHE WEIGHS ABOUT THE SAME!?!?!? We can't figure that out but the doc just said as long as she didn't lose.

We got back expecting Jace would be going in the pool but it is still closed down for the break so she will be going on Thursday. She has been busy with the tilt table, FES bike and working those arms and today she started math again. Today was also spent getting things arranged for her own chair to be ordered and she has to decide on the color. There are actually quite a few colors to choose from but they don't have orange. They do however have a Bubblegum Pink that I suggested but you know Jayci, even though one of the chicks with sticks, she has never quite been the pink kind of girl.

We are sitting here watching the Canada - US game and listening to Shawn talk to... well I'm not really sure who he is talking to, the players, the announcers????? One period to go, Canada better step it up!!

Tomorrow will be more therapy, probably watch a game show or two and then the big decision of the day......What's for supper? Take care everyone!

Love Shawn, Starla & Jayci

PS Thank you for all the posts. It really lifts our spirits to read them! God Bless!

So glad your holidays were enjoyed. What's with the no weight gain, Jayci? Do we have to come up there and hand feed you chocolates, cake, cookies, and pie? Your aunt and I gain weight if we just look at food. Get with the program, girl. GAIN WEIGHT.
Starla. Shawn was talking to me while he was watching the game. I know this because I was yelling at him while I watched the game too.( I think it was him. Somebody made those mistakes and it wasn't me.)
Jayci, you should get them to set the tilt table up beside the pool. Picture it. Tilt up - drop in. lol lol Sure would be fun. ( or fun ny )
Get working on those arms, Jayci. And the weight gain.
Your all in our thoughts and prayers every day.
Love y'all, Shawn, Starla, Cassi, Jayci & Ty.

  2. Hey Jayc,

Sorry I wasnt able to get up and see you today, I couldnt pull my ass of the couch this afternoon, and then I had a night class tonight. I should be up either sometime in the afternoon tomorrow, I will txt and see if you are busy, or Thursday may work better.
What a game! What a loss. Ha Ha, That was terrible, the defence let him walk right around, and it looked like the goalie didn't even try to stop it! But I guess Canada has to let the other teams win once and a while. Ha haha

    Anyways off to bed,
    Peace, Skylar

  3. It probably doesn't matter who Shawn is talking to - I don't think anyone listens anyways! Ha! Ha!

  4. The listening part is a defenite MALE thing....think it's called selective hearing.....Shawn has truly become a Stevenson if he has that trait!Lucky you Star.......

  6. So glad to hear you got home for Christmas. Everyone has something to be thankful for... lots to be thankful for cause things could be a lot worse. This is what i learned from my own experiance. Determination, motivation and your fight inside you is such a great thing. We all have to use this strength to get us past the hard times and to move us foreward.

So glad you made it back safe and sound. Feels just like before Christmas... Cold! Oh well, not much we can do about that except hibernate, and thats what i feel like doing in this temperature.
Uncle Darren was up at your house today and made sure the driveway and sidewalks were all shoveled. He always says he hates shovelling but we know different, i am sure he does every yard on the block. Way to go Darren. Anyway take care work hard and see you on Friday.
