Hey there. We made it back to the hospital yesterday just in time for swimming. We should have had time to spare but we ended up behind the Olympic Torch at Vanscoy and followed it all the way to downtown Saskatoon. There was quite the traffic and man, glad you couldn't hear Shawn. Let's just say he isn't known for his patience!!! We did get to see the Torch though, from about a block and a half back.
Therapy has gone well the last couple days. Swimming, of course was the highlight. Jayci hasn't been feeling that great today. We are thinking it is the pill she takes on Tuesday mornings for bone density so we are going to try taking it at night instead and see if that helps. Also, she has broke out with cold sores or impetigo, not sure which but it is above her lip, on her lip and on her chin. It looks really sore and she is just about crazy with the itch. They prescribed some cream which she started late this afternoon(Dad is applying it again now), so hopefully that will help.
Oops, Dad just deflated the bed, AGAIN! JAYCI IS SINKING. Oh, he fixed it but now we are beeping. Melanie(nurse) just came in, OK, no more beeping. It's all good(for now).
So while Jayci was in math this afternoon, Shawn and I ran downtown. When we got back, I headed back into the hospital while Shawn made a phone call. Security was standing outside the doors, people were standing around inside. I heard the security guard telling people there was a Code Red(Fire) and that we would not be able to access any of the hospital. Oh no, what is Jayci thinking. When the code red was cleared, we had to wait for the elevators to kick back in, which takes a few minutes. I shouldn't have been so lazy and just walked the 7 flights up!! Anyways, when I did finally get back here and got to Jayci and Marty, they said they heard the code, but not what it was, and someone had shut the door, so they didn't worry too much about it. They just figured if need be, someone would come get them, so they continued on with math.
That's been about the extent of our week so far. Therapy starts at 10:00 tomorrow so hopefully everyone will get a good sleep and be ready to get ready in the morning!!! God Bless and good night!!

Soooo, why did you and Shawn run downtown? It would have been faster to take a vehicle. hahahaha
ReplyDeleteWell, Jayci, if you hadn't done so much kissing maybe your lips would be alright. (ooops, don't tell your mom. She likely doesn't know.)
I hope that by taking the pill at night that it helps cure the tummy upset.(I mean your bone density pill.)
Keep up with the exercises, therapy, swimming and MATH.
According to your mom, you've been doing really well so far. We love to hear about your improvements, your days activities and also how your weekends are.
You all take care.
Keep on keepin on, Jayci.

ReplyDeleteHey Jbird! I was just thinking of you this morning and wanted to send you a quick note. No matter how bad the battle rages in your mind, don't give up! Even if your progress is only an inch at a time, make sure you’re leaning on God's grace and not on your own ability. In Galatians 6:9 the apostle Paul simply encourages us to keep on keeping on! God is with you, and He’ll help you make progress. It's easy to quit, but it takes faith to press on to victory. You are not a quitter. You go girl!!
ReplyDeleteThe girls still pray for you everyday at supper time. They miss you and look forward to seeing you this weekend. Uncle and I miss you too. I think we should eat sushi again.....hmmmm.....
