It hasn't warmed up a whole bunch yet. Hope it does soon. We are planning a trip to the mall on Thursday to do some Christmas shopping. Jayci is done therapy at 2:00 on Thursday and she hasn't been out here in a while so it will be good.
Therapies went well today. She was on the tilt table and the bike, had half hour of arm exercises and she also had an hour of math (the last class until after the break). There was a Christmas party this afternoon so we stopped in there before math and had a few treats along with some punch. Santa even stopped by and Jayci got a Christmas mug and a candy cane. Funny thing though, Santa looked an awful lot like Dr. Mary!?!?!? Tomorrow Jayci should have a different chair to try out for awhile. Once she tries it out, she can decide which one she likes better and then one will be ordered for her. She is anxious to move on to a manual chair but she needs to gain some more strength in her arms. All in good time!!!
We are just waiting for dad to come back with supper, pizza from Venice House (our new favorite pizza place). No big plans for tonight other than a shower. Last night Jayci spent quite a bit of time on the computer watching videos of Project Walk in California and she thinks it is something she should try. It really is amazing, just like our Jayci!!!

Keep up the good work in math, Jayci. That's one subject that you'll use a lot in life. Have patience about getting a manual chair. Make sure your arm strength can handle it first. Besides, it's easier to run over people with the electric. We sure enjoy reading the updates. They let us know about your improvements, your trips out and about and also about your weekends at home. We can't get out there to visit so it lets us know how things are going. Even though we aren't out there, you are in our thoughts every day.

ReplyDeleteWas really nice to see you at the Titans game! Too bad we can't seem to manage a win. They played the following night against Woodriver (ugh), lost 2-1 but outplayed them and should of won. Hope you liked your new jacket! Was glad to have your dad at the game also, my old smoking buddy (I was missing one of my smoking buddies though, Starla, maybe next time hey).
The pool sounds great, you do so well in there! I saw such improvement in you since the last time I saw you. You work so hard and it is paying off for you!

It's nice to hear you're doing so well. And getting out to do all your Christmas shopping. It sounds like all your teammates really miss you, but still feel like you're part of the team. I'm sure you are the most integral part of the team - you give them the inspiration that if you work hard enough you can accomplish what you set your mind to!
