We are back from our wonderfully awesome weekend at home. I don't think we can put into words how great it really was but I will try to give you an idea.

We arrived home around 3:30 on Friday to balloons and banners and our door was pretty much swinging until we left home at 7:oo tonight. Our neighbour told Shawn that the street is just too quiet without us around because there was always something going on at our house, people over, teenagers around, music playing and whatnot but I think they probably got their fill again this weekend. Parking was pretty scarce on our street. Jayci has a lot of great friends and she was so excited to see everyone(family and friends), as well as them to see her. Cassi had a surprise too this weekend, with her friends Amy and Christina both coming home for the weekend. We knew Amy was coming but Jayci thought we should surprise Cassi (I think it worked!). Of course we did sneak in some family time as well(which was much needed) and we all enjoyed it very much. Jayci is very lucky to have the sister and brother she does, and she knows it. Our family and friends were so great to make sure things were set up, suppers were cooked and food in the cupboard. One Grandma cooked Friday, and the other one today. Our friends Jayson and Dianne cooked supper on Saturday and as usual, it was superb! It was so good to visit with everyone in our own home again. Thanks to all but it was sure hard to leave!!!! We will be back though!!!!

We think the trach is scheduled to come out tomorrow BUT..... guess we will have to see. I will let you know how it goes.

Well, better sign off now and get some sleep. Good night!!!

Love Shawn, Starla & Jayci

    Morning Shawn, Star and Jay

Yes we have to agree it was an awesome week end.
Everybody was so happy to have you all home and the sound of laughter in your house sounded so good, and felt so good! Gave everybody a warm fuzzy! Can't wait to see you next week end, and have you to our house to celebrate Grandpa, Skylar and Bradens birthdays. Thinking of you all today as you get your trach out. YAH! Gotta go off to ortho - we think Shelb gets her braces off today. Love ya.

  5. Hi Jayci, Shawn and Starla,
Glad you made it home. Can't imagine how good it felt. Hope you had some quiet time just to feel normal. We thought about you all week-end. Ashley spent the w/e cough, cough, coughing to the point of .....you don't want to hear it. She was so disappointed she couldn't come to see you Jace.... but maybe soon! Love you all and am so in awe of the progress all of you have made including Ty and Cassi.
    Will keep praying!
    Renee
