7 DAYS TIL HALOBRATION!!!!

Sorry for not posting yesterday. Didn't mean to get anyone in a panic, just a busy day I guess. Just remember, no news is good news.

So we are in hour 36 with the trach capped. Woo hoo. She should have no problem reaching the 48 hours needed. Not sure though when the trach will actually come out as it won't be on the schedule for tomorrow and they told us they wouldn't take it out on a Friday so guess we are looking at Monday at the earliest. Therapy has been going well. Yesterday they had Jace feeding herself(chocolate donut) with the help of this sling machine, but she did very well for not being able to move her head to help. Today she was balancing herself sitting forward in her chair. Again, a marvelous job. You can just see the determination in her eyes. She is really getting to manouver her chair quite well too.

Jayci's friends Jenessa and Becca were up visiting for the afternoon then our cousins Renae and little Devyn brought supper for us(BP's mmm). Thanks Renae, you are so good to us!

I guess Jace is a little too cooperative around here. Karen, her OT, says she is going to write 'It doesn't matter' on the top of Jayci's halo as anytime Karen asks her something or gives Jayci a choice, that is what Jayci says, "It doesn't matter".

Well, time to get ready for bed, have a snack, watch a little TV, or discuss our BIG plans for tomorrow(haha). Take care everyone!!!!!

Love Shawn, Starla & Jace
