HAPPY 15TH BIRTHDAY TY!!!!! WE LOVE AND MISS YOU VERY MUCH BUT WE WILL SEE YOU SOON!!!

Holy crap! Not sure what the weather is like at home but is it ever hot here today. Not sure what the temperature is but hot, hot, hot. We went out for a walk and Jayci loved it. She actually stayed out for awhile but then we brought her back in because we think she was beginning to melt. We haven't heard from rehab yet but apparently there was a meeting today so we hope to know tomorrow approximately how long a wait we have. The dietician was in and is impressed with the protein she ate yesterday. We went out and bought a bunch of different stuff yesterday and she seems to like the nuts, turkey sticks and summer sausage. Also she says things are tasting a little better so things are looking up there. Jayci was an absolute joy today. In other words being her little goofy, kind of cocky self. It could be because our good friends Taneil, Glenis and Topaz (the hearing dog) were up and spent most of the day with us. It is so good to have familiar faces and we all enjoyed their company. Obviously it played some of us out as I am sitting here now typing this and watching Jace and Shawn sleep, both with their mouths wide open. It is actually quite funny how much they look alike at this very moment(of course Shawn doesn't have all the metal attached to his head though). Just to show you that Jace still has that amazing spirit.....Because of the halo, Jace is unable to move her head. If she is laying on her back and you are to the side of her and ask her to look at something or ask her if she can see a certain something, she will say "I can't see out of my ears you know". She can be such a smart#&& but we wouldn't trade her for the world. Please continue to pray for Jayci's speedy recovery.

  3. Well Jayci (Shawn & Starla),

Just got home not long ago from spending some time with you guys over the last 2 days. All I can say is "WOW" - you are one incredible family!! Jayci is looking beautiful as ever and it was sooo good to hear her voice. And of course - she had me laughing non-stop - I do have to say that the "sea food" thingy - was kinda gross though - Jace - mind your manners!! All 3 of you are a force to be reckened with - the spirit and the drive that you have is amazing - not just Jacyi - but yes - Shawn and Starla as well. Both Taneil and Topaz crashed as soon as we hit the highway and I was left alone listening to Taneil's music - is that what that stuff is called that the young kids listen to these days?? Anyway - I guess I best go and give Topaz a bath as she really enjoyed "showing off" for all of you day as she jumped in the puddles and rolled in the dirt. Great to see all of you and remember to stay strong in spirit and body and I KNOW you will get through this Jayci - you are one of the most incredible girls I know!!
Love you all - Glenis, Taneil & Topaz

  4. Morning Family,

So after Tyler had his non b-day day he decided supper may not be so bad. So we all went for supper and even surprised Ty with a sparkly ice cream dish and a - well you all know how well we sing Happy Birthday - ( not so good! ) but it was fun. Oh and of course when we left the K Grandpa Wittmier put the run on Ty and yes if he would not have been wearing sandals he would have caught Ty. Ty could not believe how fast an old guy can run. So funny of course. But was a good night. Missed you guys at supper. Glad you did not melt Jayci but we are enjoying the heat. See ya soon have another awesome day. Keep kicking butt with your physio...
    Love ya

  6. Good Morning to all! We love to read your blog everyday and that is when we say a big prayer for you, Those big brown eyes are so beautiful! We're glad that you can still keep your Mom & Dad in line, Jayci! Last night your Grandma S & I went to see Doc Walker, I'm sure that you would have enjoyed the heavy guitar music more than we did but we did enjoy the show.

so Glad to hear you have been able to go outside and soak up a little of that sun! Did you have on your funky sunglasses?

Sure hope that you hear from Rehab soon as I am sure that you are more than eager to start.

You are a very special girl with such a great family!

    Have a good weekend!

    Take care, Allan & Helena
