Hey there. Just a quick blog today as we are packing, loading and cleaning up to leave California this afternoon. Jayci and Shawn are currently at training, Cass is still sleeping(tho she did get up to help get Jace off) and I am supposed to be getting organized for when 'The Boss' returns. I had planned on going to training too but guess I should have been up at 5 instead of 6. Oh well. This will be OK as we should be able to get on the road sooner if I can get the sheets and towels washed and the floors swept.

So we seen Brad, Andrea and the girls off on their plane ride home yesterday afternoon and boy, was I glad to see them go!! hehe! I'm joking, of course. It was so good to have them here. I think Eden and Jael had fun although I guess Eden was disappointed that she was going to miss Buffalo Days to come to California.??? Her dad tried to convince her that a trip to California would be sooo much more fun but don't think she was buying into it. In fact, when we went to Sea World she said something like "Dad, don't try to get me to like Sea World, cause I'm not going to". LOL. I think she did enjoy herself as she kept asking when we were going back. They also really liked the beach. Didn't want to come out of the water. They found a hat full of sea shells, which we kept by the way. Our sea shell lady friend at the Farmer's Market told us that it WAS NOT illegal to take stuff from the ocean. HA! We went to the Padres game on Tuesday night. It was pretty cool. Our seats were good and the hot dogs....yum yum! We were surprised though by the crowd. They said the attendance was just over 23 000 but there were quite a few empty seats. Not sure how many it actually holds. The girls even got their picture taken and are on the Padres website. Check it out at www.padres.com/truefans. Brad and Andrea should be on there too but we didn't see them. Maybe you can find them. Brad will be the one with the flower in his hat! Jael wore a flower clip in her hair and she stuck it on Brad's hat and he forgot it was there. Hahaha!!!

Jayci and I had really good birthdays although we were missing our favorite boy!!! Jayci texted Tye to say thanks for the b-day gift, he replied 'you're welcome' and then texted me 'what did we get Jay'. Haha! Thanks everyone for all the birthday wishes. It means a lot!!!!

Training has been going so well for Jayci. She works so hard when she is there and they really like all her facial expressions. You know, where that little tongue pops out!! When she was on the robo machine(treadmill) she could feel when her right foot was stepping down and then one day Jael was sitting on her knee and Jayci could feel the pressure on her right leg. She is moving her big toe for us, which by the way, she didn't want me to post. You all know by now that the problem with a SCI is that the connection from body to brain and back has been injured and so Jayci has to work on repairing that connection. So while she may have moved her toe last night, she may not be able to do it this morning. I can certainly see how frustrating it could be but Jayci does not give up!! The reason she doesn't like me posting those things is because she doesn't want people asking her to move her toe and then she isn't able to do it right at that moment. So please don't ask her. I know that you all are so excited to see her progress, and you will(well, you already have) but just remember, 'Patience is a Virtue'!

Well I better get crack-a-lackin!! Not sure when I will blog again as it will depend on where we are and what time it is. But I will for sure let you all know when we arrive back in Swift. Make sure you check in as there will be a Rat Show coming soon(long story, explain later, but funny as H...). Take care of each other!
