OH MY GOSH! Karin and Sara had Jayci try out a manual wheel chair today and despite that the chair was way too big for her, she was working it, with both arms!!! Not that I am surprised though. I have known this girl for 16 plus years and I know her amazing ways. Because the chair was too wide it was difficult for Jayci to work both arms at the same time, but one at a time she did awesome. She won't be entering any races yet, but once they fit her with the right chair, look out!!! Karin says it's a good thing she likes Jayci because Jayci just keeps causing her more work. Haha. Now she is on the hunt for a smaller chair for Jayci to try. This is just one more step along the way.

We went for a walk this afternoon. It is such a nice day we walked a couple blocks over to a grocery store and picked up some strawberries, beef jerky and fruit snacks. I know, what a combination. Jayci seemed to enjoy being out but think Shawn and I were too slow for her. She did wait at the corners for us to catch up though. It must have played her out too as she is sleeping now. She wants to try out the manual chair again a little later and then tonight is American Idol. I don't think Shawn actually minds this show. Last week Jace and I had the privilege of seeing his 'Pants on the Ground' imitation. It was pretty good, well, funny anyway.
