Home again, home again, jiggety jig!! Woo hoo, it's Friday. We are getting things organized to head home around noon. We will make a quick stop at Uncle Ed's to pick up a couple packages he wants taken to Swift, and then we will be on our way.

Jayci did well again in the pool yesterday (per usual). She thought the water was a little cooler though and it took her a while to warm up afterward. She is forever cold though and therefore we are forever heating the darn heat pack. This morning she will be on the bike with her arms and then she is finished until Monday. An OT student has been working with Jayci these past couple weeks also. Her name is Sara (Sarah?), she is here until sometime in February and Jayci is really enjoying her. Sara is looking into a new phone for Jayci, one that would allow her to text by voice, as you know, they don't use the phone to actually talk on it, it's all about texting. That would be great! Oh, and they have extended our discharge date once again to February 26th. There are just so many things they need to do for Jayci and with her and she is improving all the time, so, while we are all anxious to be back home, it is a good thing for Jayci right now.

Cassi went to Calgary last night with Skylar and her friend Christina. The girls are staying with their friend Amy, so I am sure the three of them will have a great time together. They always do. They will be home Sunday night so we will get to see Cassi before we head back on Monday. Ty and Gizzy will hopefully be waiting for us at home, and I hope Ty has the menu planned, as I like to run out right away and pick up what groceries we need. I'm sure he has it all organized!!!!

Well it is 10:05 in the am and therapy is at 11:00, we better get sleepy head up and ready. She just LOVES it when we wake her up. She is always soooo happy in the morning. Haha. Hope everyone has a great weekend. God Bless!

Love Shawn, Starla & Jayci

There are a ton of us who can't wait to hear/read the next chapter in jayci's amazing story, there is so much more to be written for this amazing little girl with the heart of a lion and never say die attitude who inspires me every day. Every day Jenn and Rachel and I marvel at your accomplishments Jayci, to have gone through what you all have and yet these humorous little stories your Mom writes about make me laugh out loud as I read them, what an amazing group of people you Wittmiers are! All our love to all of you and write soon, I can't wait to hear what happens next

I have people stopping me all the time to ask about Jayci and comment on the blog site. "I read it everyday" "It's the highlite of my morning" "Tell that sister of yours to post more" This is parents, kids, friends, family & complete strangers. But Auntie your right, we need to post to show our support & encouragement. Jayci your an inspiration to us all and don't ever doubt we are all 100% behind you! Luv ya kiddo!

  6. Hi Guys:

As you have probably all heard by now my dad passed away last Saturday. He was very ill but was still a surprise. Got back from Regina last night. I know he is in a better place where he has no pain anymore.

Of course, no computer at dad's so had to catch up when I got home.

Really glad to hear everything is still progressing and going well.

Drove up to North Battleford today for a b-ball tourney. Just got home from there. The first seeding came out this week with PA Carlton 1st, PA St. Mary's 2nd and Swift 3rd. Well, we ended up in the final against PA St. Mary and with 11 seconds left Jane got a steal and scored, we then got 1 more basket to win 49-46, pretty exciting (maybe when the next seeding comes out we will move up in the rankings!!).

There is a Titan's game tomorrow @12:45 @ F.W. You won't see Jane & Jill on the ice if you come as they are serving a suspension (they will have to tell you about that, I will just mention one thing "Woodriver Ice Cats", need I say more. They will be at the game though and could hang out with you.

Keep working hard girl, it is paying off for you . We are all so proud of you!!!!

Hope to see you tomorrow!!!! (and maybe my smoking buddies???? lol)

    Love Ya
