We had a pretty good last couple of days. Therapy is going well and today Jayci went on the FES bike with her legs. It went pretty good except her blood pressure did drop. The weird thing is that even though her bp shows quite low, she still says she feels OK. At one point though she was getting a little dizzy so we just tilt her chair and lift her legs and she recovers. Yesterday she was on the bike using her arms and they are definately getting stronger. Balancing is going good too and she is doing well using her arms to push her body side to side and she is still working on strengthing her neck muscles.
I don't think I mentioned that on Monday when we returned to City Hospital, Jayci's friend Greg came wheelin over with a gift for Jayci. He went shopping again (he says he is worse than a woman) and he bought Jayci a Calgary Flames blanket and pillow. How sweet!!!
It was going to be a surprise for the Ardens but I think the Mac has let the Cat out of the Sac. We are planning on coming home tomorrow night as the Junior Ardens Basketball Team is having their home tournament starting Friday and Jayci wants to be there to cheer on her teammates. She has therapy until 3:00 so we plan to be on the road shortly after that.
Other than the basketball tournament we don't have any big plans for the weekend though I am sure we will have a visitor or two!!! Family movie night was real nice too so maybe we will do more of that. Or, there are about a thousand other things I could be doing around the house but......

ReplyDeletesounds like that will be good for you Jayci to get out of the hospital and watching the basketball game... cheering them on will be good for you!! GO ARDENS!!! Glad to hear your strength is coming along... i know that is a really slow process. Keep on going, so far it is sounding good

A gift from Greg - Huh?? Well - sounds like a nice gift to receive. I'm sure he means well - and at least he knows which team blanket to give you!! When it comes to hockey - red is the color - still green for football though and don't you let Cindy tell you otherwise!

With SGI just keep on pushing them and never ever give up on them. We are still fighting for my accident that happened in April. I am still recovering and everything so it isnot like i am all better, but i am recovering very slowly!
