Sorry for the delay in posting but we had computer issues (AGAIN) last night. Anyways, Jayci didn't have the best day yesterday. She was sick and didn't eat too much but in keeping with her great spirit, she did not skip out on therapy. She almost had to throw up at the end of her OT session but managed not to, to the delight of Karin I might add, as Karin says, she is the only therapist that is puke free with Jayci and she would like to keep it that way. Jayci has lost more weight (YIKES). She is eating pretty good but I guess she works it off in therapy. They did do some blood work today and the results were all good (woo hoo). I think there will be a new rule at our house. Everyone that comes over will have to feed Jayci something, whether it be a cookie, or a chocolate or a scoop of mashed potatoes and gravy, doesn't matter, but maybe if she eats more often, that will help too. That does not mean however, that anyone that does come over needs to bring something. Lordybee, we are really getting a stock pile of goodies, and with the grandma's and their Christmas meal (that will feed an army I am quite sure), we will have enough food to last!!!!

We are packed up and ready to head for home as soon as Jayci is done her last therapy session. As they are forcasting a blizzard for the south I hope we either miss it or arrive home before it hits. Shawn just tells me to close my eyes and sleep but not so sure that will work when I have to wipe the fog from the windows. Oh, it is forever interesting anyways.

Well I better get going. Wouldn't want to miss the Shaggin Wagon! Take care and I will for sure let you know how our trip home goes.

Love Shawn, Starla, Cassi, Jayci & Ty

Starla, Don't let them make fun of you. They are just jealous because you used that word before them.

  5. Love the posts Starla - keep up the good work. Jacyi - get eating little girl!! I will send food over everytime Taneil comes to visit. You just let her know what you are hungry for - and "poof" - it will be there.

It will be so good for all of you to spend the extra time at home during the holidays. You have come such a long way and you all deserve the break from the hospital atmosphere.

Can't wait to see all of you sometime while you are home.

Love to all - The Janzens
