Finally, I am getting around to posting again. We moved rooms yesterday (I will get to that in a moment) and it seems we lost our internet in the process. IT was up today and got it running again but as soon as we try it in our new room, it doesn't work. So being the smart person I am, I brought the laptop down to the TV room and BINGO, it works.
Anyways, they are going to be closing down Pod 1 here on the rehab floor over Christmas and since Jayci is one of the lucky ones that gets to go home for Christmas, we got moved from Pod 2 to Pod 1. I didn't take count on how many staff actually helped move our stuff but there were quite a few. I was disappointed though as they didn't unpack any of it. Ha ha. Nurse Wanda said she doesn't think she has ever seen anyone with that much stuff in one room. We have already taken a bunch of things home too. It just shows all the tremendous support we have received over the last 4 months. WOW!!!
Therapy has been going good and they are going to try and get Jace in the pool a couple times a week. She was quite happy to hear that. She is trying out a different chair today but isn't too sure about it yet. Think she just needs more time in it. She got sick to her stomach after math today so she missed her afternoon therapy. Not sure why she feels sick but they have taken her off some medication this week and one was for her stomach so maybe it is that, or maybe just an off day. Her and dad are resting comfortably right now!!!!
Skylar was here again Tuesday night and Randi and Penny stopped in to see us yesterday. Penny brought some of her delicious baking which we unsuccessfully tried to hide from dad. We have therapy tomorrow until noon and then we will pack up and head home for the weekend. We picked up a ramp to bring with us so we will be able to get Jayci's chair back on Monday. Ty Ty now has his learner's and thinks he wants to take us driving this weekend (YIKES). Just kidding, I'm sure he will do fine when his dad takes him!!!! We are looking forward to another weekend at home with him and Cassi. Hope you all enjoy your weekend too. God Bless!!!!

Hard to believe it's been 4 months and even though it is nothing to be happy about or celebrate there is a lot for us to be thankful for. I thank God every day for Jayci! You have always been special and you have never been a quitter. That is why you have and are going to accomplish amazing things. Be proud Jayci! Love ya lots!

She was soooo excited to see you that she had to call me afterwards and brag it up that she say and talked to you! Ughh! Wish I coulda' been there.
