Our weekend at home started with a delicious turkey dinner made with love by Grandma and delivered to our house followed by visits with family and friends. Saturday was more quiet. We went to the mall and did a little grocery shopping and had a family movie night. Rob and Lisa had chinese food sent over for supper. Yum yum. Glennis and Taylor stopped in and brought us home made cinnamon buns which were also delicious. Thanks to everyone for all the food but I had Shawn drop me off at Vanscoy today and I ran the rest of the way to Saskatoon to try and work some of it off. Nah, just kidding, but I did think about it and decided against it. Ha ha.
Then came Sunday.......a BUNCH of people came over, with MORE food. We watched this TV program where a bunch of little green men in tight pants ran around like supermen, we did lots of cheering and clapping, then at the end, the little green men got all stupid.?!?!?!?! Then we all cried and everyone went home. Unbelievable!!!!! Oh, and some of us got a dance lesson from Aaron. It was pretty good. Did you know that Uncle Shane can do the moonwalk?????
Oh ya, and we have this van now that Shawn's dad found from a guy he knows, and it has a lift for the wheelchair so it is much more convenient for Jayci. We are going to rent it until SGI comes through for us. Anyways, the kids call it the Shaggin Wagon. It is older than Cassi, and has a pretty red velvet interior and Shantel is going to get us some dice to hang from the mirror. Haha. All in all, it does work pretty good. We even took Jayci out for supper tonight. We hopped into the Shaggin Wagon and first stopped at Sobeys for fruit and cheese. Then we went to Quiznos (shhh, don't tell Deb) and after that, Jayci wanted to see where Skylar lives which isn't too far from where we were so we drove over there, I ran up and knocked on the door and Skylar, Christina and Kaitlyn came out to say hello to Jace and of course, see the new wheels. Think Skylar is going to borrow it sometime!!!!
We are just doing our math then it will be time for bed (I hope). Tomorrow we might head over and show Jayci our pad at the Ronald McDonald House. Thanks to everyone for making our weekends at home so special. We really do appreciate everything that you all have done. Have a great night!
Love Shawn, Starla & Jayci
