3 DAYS TIL HALOBRATION!!!

It has been a very busy but very good weekend. Ty did not make it up(boo hoo) as he is not feeling that good and didn't want to pass on anything to his sister. It is too bad, as he must have gone to a lot of work for the Halloween party for Jayci. He sent up decorations, a mask and some cob webs, delicious cookies(made by Ty and Hayley) and of course candy apples(yum yum, thanks Auntie Sherry). All four of the grandparents came up on Saturday along with Uncle Dallas and Hayley, Uncle Darren, Auntie Shantel & Skylar. Uncle Brad and family came back and joined us all for supper, and yes, I did remember how to cook. Grandpa and Grandma Stevenson even came in costume(weirdest looking doctor and nurse yet). Today Uncle Shane, Auntie Leslie, Braden and Aaron came up. They spent the afternoon with us and bought us supper too. It was a good day! We are blessed to have such a wonderful family and we are thankful for each and every one of them!!!!!

There was a jewelry man set up downstairs this weekend and he told Jayci, Cassi and Hayley about this lady in a scooter that stole from him. Well, this afternoon we were all sitting downstairs, and the thief lady comes by his shop again. Jayci decides she needs to play security and keep her eye on this lady so she starts wheeling her chair around. The thief lady didn't try anything this time which was unfortunate, as it would have been quite hilarious to see Jayci give chase!!!

We are looking forward to the week ahead. If everything goes as we hope, the trach will be gone tomorrow and then the halo on Thursday. AND......we are hopeful that we will be able to come home on Friday. Of course it will only be for the weekend but it will be so good for all of us. Our family together again in our own home. We are making all the arrangements with OT so that we will have all that we need at home. It has been too long and we are all looking so forward to it, I just pray it works out. Jayci is excited to come home and just spend time with Cass and Ty, watching movies and just hanging out together. Maybe that is her polite way of saying she is sick of hanging out with mom and dad, all day, everyday!?!?!?!? God Bless!!!

    That's so good that you all get to go home even if it's just for the weekend. Sleeping in your own beds, that's always something you can look forward to. You are 1 amazing,strong,beautiful family. Im still praying and thinking of you all everyday. Every blog puts a smile on my face unless of course you aren't feeling great. I'm always ready for what's next to come. You are amazing Jayci keep fighting and Never give up on anything. Your Family and Friends love you more then they can express. I will keep reading and praying.

    SO... Me and Hayley cannot take all the credit for the cookies, we were about to make them and the grandma taffy stepped in and offered to make them, obviously she thought they would not turn out so good made by hayley and i. Oh well but we did decorate them with much love. Love yah all.

    what a great weekend it was, Starla your supper was great best fried rice I've ate . Grandpa thought everyone looked better more relaxed and he said he could see improvement in jayci and what a great spirit she had and I'm to tell her not to forget the calcuim cause grandma says it's good for everything. Right Jay haha even the itch. Hope everything goes as planned today and the rest of the week

    yes it was a good weekend and i could learn alot from our sweet jayci she seems to shop for gifts for all of us mine was a plaque which says, when life gives you a hundred reasons to cry show it that you have a thousand reasons to smile, and that gift i treasure,love you jace

    Hi Jayci, Starla and Shawn:
    It sounds like you guys had a great weekend with your family. Too bad Ty coulnd't be there. Jayci, I hope all goes according to plan and that they can remove your halo and trach and you can be home for the weekend. We were so glad that we could visit you in October, the day you got your new wheels. Sounds like you keeping it within the speed limit:) I hope you catch that jewellery thief! You might have to speed though! Good luck with everything and God bless you all.
