WOO HOO! WE GOT THE CHAIR!!!! I must say though, it does not go Jace's pace YET. They have the speed set real low right now until she gets used to controlling it but she did awesome. No one got injured! And of course, Dad has been playing around with it too but thankfully, he hasn't figured out how to tork it up.

It was another great day here for us all. Jordan, Lisa and Rob were here and Jace was so excited to see Jordan. They are really quite cute with their plastic and metal, especially when they hug each other. And I guess Jordan tried taking a picture of them together when us adults were out of the room and Jordan couldn't bend down enough and Jace couldn't bend up enough so they ended up waiting until we came back. Too funny! Leah, Gloria and Mark surprised us with a visit also and it was great to see them. Of course Mark kept us laughing with his famous jokes, the ones Gloria and Leah hear over and over. Renae, Dean and little Devyn were here early this evening and Renae brought us some of her great cooking again. We always appreciate it Renae!!!!

We would just like to say, we really do appreciate everyone that takes the time to visit us and everyone that reads and posts to Jayci's blog. It is overwhelming to us to know that we are in your thoughts and prayers and that is what keeps us going. Thank you all so so much!!!

Love Shawn, Starla & Jayci

  4. Hi Everyone! Sounds like you have had a great week with a lot of good stuff happening. In reference to your earlier post regarding the guys and the electrodes it is amazing what guys will do when presented with stuff out of the ordinary. One day my guys decided to try on our dog's bark collar just to see how it work! So I can just imagine what your guys looked like when they tried out the electrodes!

Anyway, have a great weekend and keep up the fantastic work!

  7. Hi Jayci, Starla and Shawn
Your blogging is so awe inspiring to read. I think Starla could have a second career in writing! It's one of the best parts of my day to read the updates and hear how great your spirits are after all this time in a hospital!

So Uncle Dallas is coming to see you, perhaps a personal experience with the electrodes would be amusing?

Take care, lots of thoughts and prayers coming your way,

  8. Hi Guys:

Glad to hear you got your new chair, you will be whipping up and down the halls in no time (just have to try to keep the men off of it).

Titans play tonight against Regina, hope we do better. Notre Dame cancelled for Sunday as they have a "health advisory" on there right now and they can't leave and no one can come there for about a week (must be H1N1?).

Really look forward to reading the blog every day, I get my coffee, go down to my computer, and the first thing I do is read the blog.

Ended up staying in Regina longer on Thanksgiving so could not make it to S'toon last weekend. Sounds like you all had a good Thanksgiving with lots of company and food. Will try to get there soon (Jane & Jill keep asking when!!!).

Keep up the hard work and good spirits Jac, Starla & Shawn!!

  11. From one J.C. to another Jayci -- Keep on truckin girl. Your attitude is amazing.
"God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, THE COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS I CAN, and the Wisdom to know the difference."
The Serenity prayer is a nice little prayer. The second line of that prayer is talking about you. Keep at it Jayci.
We love you a whole big bunch.
