It has been a really good day here today. Uncle Darren surprised us this morning, Cass, Grandma Wittmier and Auntie Shantel showed up around noon, Uncle Brad, Auntie Andrea, Eden and Jael around 1:00 and Ty, Hayley, Grandma and Grandpa Stevenson a little later. Jayci's friend Jenessa also came for awhile too.

There were so many laughs today. One of the biggest was probably when Dad and Uncle Darren decided to mess around with the electrodes that Jayci's therapist gave us to use on her this weekend. Uncle decided he would try them out on his arm while Dad worked the controls. Uncle started yelling "Shawn, turn it off, turn it off" and it wasn't until Uncle Darren finally pulled the wires out himself that we realized he wasn't joking. So then of course Uncle made Dad try it too. To give you a better idea, when Jayci uses the machine it is set at about a 2, when Uncle had it on, Dad had it turned up to 8. Talk about roll on the ground, eyes full of tears, pee your pants laughing. I am still amazed we weren't told to quiet down. We are going to try and get Uncle Brad to try it tomorrow!!!! We will keep you posted!

Another good laugh is Jayci imitating one of her nurses. Mom does the actions while Jayci does the voice. She is actually really good at it too, so be sure to ask her about it when you visit. Hilarious!!!

Have a great weekend!

Love Shawn, Star, Cass, Jace & Ty

  1. So that definately sounds like a good one for Uncle Dallas but let me know if it works on Uncle Brad! Ha!Ha! Sure wishing we were there today but I'm going to cook a small turkey today for Uncle and Lexie. Kinda quiet at the house with everyone else up there but Gizzi and Mocha keep us entertained.
Love to all and have a great Thanksgiving!

  6. Happy Long Belated Birthday Shawn.
Hope the Wittmier Thanksgiving was good. =)
Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, i've been pretty sick, catching up on school work(ha ha) and playing hockey too. Well Jay, This Thanksgiving I was most certainly most thankful for you, and really who couldn't be. You're phanomanal, absolutly astonding! I miss your glowing smile and you warming laugh. I will definetly be visiting you soon! It seems to long since I've seen you last. We toasted to you at our lunch today(thanksgiving lunch). I spent my lunch at the Gard house in Edam(small town). Tehnille Gard is my goalie, who made sure she dedicated the first stop of our home opener ( against swift) to you. I tell her so many stories about you and me and the tournaments and on ice incidents. ALL time favorite: Swift vs Gull Lake, score is like 12-0 and Jay and Jill start making farm animal and car noises with each skating motion scaring the shit out of the Gull Lakians and probably giving them some crazy inpression of us Swiftians hahaha. =) ahhh that makes me smile.
My mom gave me one of the " JW " patches that they put on the jerseys for titans, so that's going on my SHARKS(cough wooohoo cough) Sweater, and we are ordering yours too, WE CAN MATCH! hahah jk.
Soo Jaybird, hope your smiling=) cause you most def deserve the best and the ultimate peak of happiness!
Your simply beautiful smile, creates a heavy blanket full of warmth. <3
Remember the peak of ultimate struggle, is the push to success and the stride to excellence.. Keeeep on keeeping onn broo!

Glad to hear you had a good Thanksgiving weekend! Just thought we would share a little funny about that Grandma Wittmier of yours. First day back to work after the long weekend, she walks in tues morning a little late. She said she went out to start her car, even though it wasn't as cold as she thought it was out. But non the less she started it anyway, went back into the house and finished getting ready. When she was ready to walk out the door she's scrambling looking high and low for her keys. Completly slipping her mind that they were already it the car! A little late for work but she made it. Good to here you're enjoying therapy, work hard & stay strong!

  9. Jayci Mom and Dad don't believe a word of it that wouldn't be something I would do, that's ok when i got home last night couldn't get in the house and my keys were inside as i didn't need them so left them at home, thought the lebel's were there and locked the dead bolt tried to get in 3 times back to shantel's i go all in a huff, stating I can't get into the house so over she comes gives the door a pull and puts the code in and guess what it opened oh well guess the laughs are on me today.
