Hello. Jace had a pretty good day today. She was in such a weird mood, a total goof but she is alot of fun to be around. There isn't much new in regards to therapy. More assessing but happy to say she did not faint today. The motorized wheelchair came up again and now dad thinks he will have to supe it up though. Ya right! Cass came up with Grandma this afternoon so we were happy to see them.

About last night......WOW! Cannot say enough about our great community. We aren't sure what you all expected but we were not prepared for what transpired. It all started with pics being sent to us through e-mail as they were preparing for the event. It was great to see those. Then the texts and phone calls came and man oh man. We knew we live in the best community ever but this has absolutely amazed us and it just makes us all want to get home that much quicker. We can't thank everyone enough but sure hope you all know how much it means to our family. Jayci got her "signed" Titans jersey today, and what a great idea that was. It truly is something she will treasure forever. We are very proud to say we are from Swift Current!!!!!!!! (rats and all).

So Cassi says she is scared for life. She was coming down the hall back to Jayci's room after heating up a heat pack for her and right there in front of her is a lady, being pushed on a chair on wheels, bare bum and all. Guess she wasn't expecting that.

Take care!

Shawn and Starla

  2. Swift Current must be back in the top 10 cities again after the Benefit Supper Thursday night! Hats off to all who organized it and also to the Hockey Girls who worked so hard all night! An amazing Benefit supper for an amazing family who have contributed so much for sports in Swift.

Wow! Your letters were great and really touched everyone and we really appreciated seeing the recent picture of your family!

We love your motto: "Keep on Keeping on" and your funny everyday. So here is ours to share with you: Our 5 year old grandaughter says she has a VERY TALENTED boyfriend, he can ride his bike and pick his nose at the same time!!ha ha. Watch those boys, Jayci!!

Love to all from Allan & Helena

  3. Sooo we are just waiting for Lexie and we will be on our way to see you. Can hardly wait for you to see the video of the benefit. The whole night was truly overwhelming! I am just so proud of my husband to personally take it upon himself to make sure the bar made so much money. I really hope Cassi & Ty don't catch the flu that Uncle had all day yesterday! HaHa that is my not so funny funny of the day. Wow - just heard your name on the radio talking about the money raised from your benefit. Swift Current and surrounding area is amazing!

  4. Oh, I remember the streakers. Especially when one of the folks in the geriatric assessment unit go away. Always made me laugh, but also hope they didn't think my room was theirs as had happened. :)
