9 DAYS TIL HALOBRATION!!!

Busy day here but a pretty good day. In therapy they set up Jayci's computer so she can now work the mouse by the controller on her wheelchair. To make it click she has to hit a button with the side of her arm so not only can she work the computer on her own, but her arm gets exercised at the same time. She can't type yet but they will also be helping to set up the voice command which will do the typing for her, for now.

The clinical study thing Jayci had this morning was OK. There were 5, third year medical students that came to our room to ask Jayci questions about her health and her experiences since being in the hospital. There was 1 female and 4 very goodlooking young males. Don't think Jayci would mind if it was a daily occurrence, though she did notice one was wearing a wedding band. Haha.

There was also a presentation this afternoon from Pete Andrews who won a gold medal at the 2009 World Disabled Water Ski Championships. He actually works at the hospital here as a therapist but not on the Rehab floor.

Well I better be off to sleep now. It is shower day tomorrow so that will mean I will need to get Jace cracking a little earlier than she likes. God Bless!

Love Shawn, Starla & Jayci

  1. Hey guys...I'm still praying....and still believing for our miracle. I haven't seen you for two weeks and it feels like months have gone by. We are coming on the weekend and we can't wait to see you.

Galatians 6:9 says, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up". Don't give up Jayci. Hang in there. Keep going.

And Proverbs 3:5-8 says, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body And refreshment to your bones". This is my prayer for you...that you trust in God and that your body is healed and refreshed. That it functions the way it was designed to function.

I'm believing for a miracle for you kiddo. In the meantime, I want you to know that I am so proud of you and your great attitude. Keep up all the hard work and don't forget how much we love you. When you are feeling tired or alone, just look up and know that we are praying and that God is there for you. When you are weak, then He is strong. He's there for you. Eden and Jael pray for you every day before we have supper. They ALWAYS say a prayer for you, even if we are in a restaurant. Anyways, see you on the weekend. Oh yeah, there's a video of Uncle Brad on fb, I suggest you watch it. See you soon! Love you.
