Update**September 9, 2009
Today, the surgeon came up to see if Jayci's trach healed up nicely. When it has healed up, they will be changing the trach tube to a smaller one (which should have been done in the first place). This will take place asap and then they should be able to get her talking. This afternoon, speech therapists were up to evaluate Jayci's swallowing. She had some juice and some apple sauce (she didn't like the apple sauce). The doctor was in and she is doing better than they all expected. Jayci was going to have the feeding tube removed from her nose and one put in her stomach in radiology but they have decided to hold off on the stomach tube as she may not need it. YAHOO! Sounds like she is going to have a busy next couple of days.

I am praying for you lots, and hoping you get better soon! you're amazing. aaandddd! i misss youuu! also, i've sent you a couple of texts i really hope you got them. cause they're kindaaa funny:) if you got them i willl be updating you with some funny stories about you know who!:) that is not till next semester.. :( i don't have her till then! haha but anyways i love you loaadds! get better soon <3

Well there my "little buddy" - I am just amazed at the progress you have made since I seen you last Wednesday. You are truly amazing!!! Taneil will be up to see you on Saturday and she is VERY EXCITED!! I wish I was coming with her. I really enjoyed your humor and the visit with your mom and dad was awesome. You are one incredible family! Anyway - if there is anything that I can send with Taneil for you - just let me know and it will be there! Stay strong and work hard!
