Update: September 16

We went outside again today. It was so hot here but Jayci loved it. They took her last iv out last night as she swells up so bad. They will give her a couple of days to ger her calorie intake up and if she can't then they will probably have to put a pick in and start her nutrition feed again. But she continues to amaze us. I guess we are on the move again in the morning. It will be a semi private room but they said they wouldn't put anyone else in there right now. Jayci knew exactly that this will be our 6th room. Not sure how she remembers all this stuff and we don't even know what day it is. AMAZING JACE!!!! Laugh of the day: (this actually happened yesterday) When Karen, one of Jayci's physical therapists came in, she said, "I know you are from Swift Current and thought I would bring you a little piece of home". She gave Jace a little white, stuffed.....RAT. We all had a good laugh.

  3. Hello Jayci and family,

I just wanted to drop in with a comment to let you know I've been reading your updates, thinking and praying for you all.

Your positive attitude will bring you further than you know, Jayci.

Let me know if you think you might be up for a visit some time. I personally didn't care much for visits when I was spending my time healing and in rehab so I make the offer, but won't insist because some people just don't like visits as much as others. :)

I'll be in touch in this space.

  6. Hi Jayci, Mr. Friesen just dropping in to say hi. I am so glad to hear you are making steady progress. Keanna says a little prayer each night for you at bedtime (then I push her over). Take care of yourself and I hope you listen to the doctors better than you listended to your teachers.
