So it has been a busy day here. Ty, Uncle Dallas and Hayley came up and were here about noon. We got moved AGAIN this afternoon to a private room (finally). It is a fairly large room too so that is nice. When Cass and Andy drove in with Grandpa and Grandma around 3:30 we had Jace outside for a walk and she waved to them as they drove by. Think Grandma had some happy tears!!!! Uncle Brad and Auntie Andrea showed up around 4:30ish. They stayed and had supper with us which was nice. Cassi had made some homemade chicken fried rice and it was delicious! Jace was so happy to see everyone. She didn't even have time for her afternoon nap (Shawn neither). Think we all will sleep good tonight!!!

So Cassi got a new purse. I commented on it and Andy said "Just don't call it interesting". Apparently that is what he said to Cassi and according to her Psychology class, that really means 'What were you thinking'. Of course we don't know that Jayci overheard this conversation and later, as we are getting off the elevator, Jace says "Cass, you got a new purse" and Cass says "Ya, I did" and then Jayci, the little turkey, says "It's interesting". Oh it feels good to have us all here together.

Thank you for reading Jayci's blog and please continue to post. She really does enjoy reading them as do we. Thanks also for all the support and prayers, we appreciate it more than we can say. God bless!

  1. Hi guys,

Glad to see the frequent updates! I read them to my parents when they are at the lake and don't have access to a computer.

I saw that it was Jayci's birthday on Wednesday. It was actually my friend Tannis' birthday and her half-year injury anniversary (in that her accident was on March 23 about seven or eight years ago). It was also twelve years since my injury.

I guess there are only 365 days in a year, but September 23 seems pretty significant for a number of people.

I hope you have a great weekend Jayci & family!

  4. Hey there Jace, Starla and Shawn,
Hoping to see you all tomorrow. Anything you guys are craving.....let us know all we'll bring it up! I was thinking of a healthy snack for Jayci... I asked Ash "what does Jayci like?"...Fuzzy Peaches! No Ashley, Fuzzy Peaches are NOT in Canada's Food Guide listed as a "fruit substitue". Miss you all, thinking and praying for you every day! Cassi and Ty included.
